- Description:
- To ensure the safety of the Province-s contracted aircrafts and operators is maintained to the highest standard, the Province requires the services of one (1) safety aviation advisor. Services will include conducting aircraft and operator safety reviews on a one to three (1 to 3) year rotation on all active contracts, and on an “as-needed” basis during periods of increased wildfire activity. Currently, the Province has 17 long-term helicopter contracts, 8 long-term contract airtanker groups, and 113 casual charter contracts consisting of both helicopters and fixed-wing. In addition to safety reviews, the successful Proponent will also serve as the Province-s aviation incident/accident investigator, and will be required to review and manage information from all aviation occurrences and incidents, identify trends and provide recommendations.
