Description:
The department of Facilities and Operations Utilities submitted a single source request on March 13, 2024 to purchase the equipment, software, and labor for the AVEVA PI Migration and Upgrade.The department uses the AVEVA PI system for plant operations to interface with the DeltaV Distributed Control System (DCS) and stores historical data that is used for process analytics, process control, email notification, customer billing, and regulatory reporting.The existing PI System (software and hardware) has reached its end-of-life. The data is critical for plant operations and the customer raw metering data is essential for utility business. The quality assured regulatory data is essential for regulatory reporting and is also required to be stored for numerous years in some instances. The improper migration of this data to a new system could have significant consequences and penalties.KBC Advanced Technologies, Inc. completed the same upgrades in 2013 and 2017 so their familiarity and knowledge with the system allows for an efficient and effective upgrade process. Their parent company Yokogawa is an approved reseller of the AVEVA PI Software.
