Description:
The intent of this Request for Proposal (“RFP”) is to obtain Proposals from qualified and experienced firms specializing in automotive glass repair services including materials as further detailed herein.
The City intends to award an “as and when requested” contract(s) for a two (2) year term from February 1, 2026 to January 31, 2028, with the option to extend for an additional three (3) individual one (1) year terms at the sole discretion of the City should service prove reliable and pricing remain competitive in accordance with the attached terms, conditions and requirements.
To supply and deliver all necessary labour, materials, plant, tools and equipment, except where otherwise indicated, for automotive glass repair services and related materials at various City locations on an “as and when requested” basis and in accordance with the attached terms, conditions, requirements as well as attachments under section 12.0 Appendices and Attachments.Work shall include the following but not be limited to:
• Glass repair services for windshield, door glass and rear glass;• Chip/crack repair;• Tinting glass;• Resealed glass;• Full automotive glass replacement;• Remove and reinstall any parts (rear view mirror, camera, etc) removed from the windshield;• EV vehicle windshield calibration;• Camera installation; and• Camera calibration.
