Tender are invited for AUTOMATED MEDICATION PACKAGING SYSTEM FOR ORAL SOLIDS

Notice Details As part of a pharmacy renovation initiative, HHN and VHN Pharmacies are assessing their need for automated oral solid packagers. Overall, the proposed solution should increase storage capacity, maximize floor space, and optimize the distribution system and staff productivity.

HHN Pharmacy will be replacing the 4 packagers that will be reaching end of life. VHN Pharmacy will be replacing 3 packagers that will be reaching end of life. Both will also consider adding a second packager to some facilities and/or a small packager to some smaller facilities. The packagers need to be integrated to the current Pharmacy Information System (Meditech/Cerner) and the future Hospital Clinical Information System. A pouch inspection system is desirable. Connectivity between packagers and/or other available technology within HHN and VHN is desirable.

HHN and VHN Pharmacies are considering options to package all oral solids including controlled medication and hazardous medications.
