Description : The British Columbia Pension Corporation (corporation) intends to contract directly with KPMG LLP for the audit of the corporation-s financial statements. This is not for the audit of the financial statement of the pension plans we serve. Each pension plan is separate from the Corporation and directly appoint their own auditor for the audit of their financial statements. As a result of this award, KPMG LLP will be precluded from any potential additional opportunities to perform services related to the corporation-s financial activities, financial system or involving the Financial Services team unless directly associated with audit services. There are also additional limits, restrictions and process requirements on other non-audit related services for the corporation or the plans we serve. The term of the contract is April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2026 with an estimated value of $40,000 annually with annual reappointments. Vendors wishing to object to this decision must submit a statement, via email to the email address listed above, clearly demonstrating their qualifications and ability to perform the required services, along with specific reasons for the objection on or before 2:00 pm Pacific Standard Time November 25, 2020.
