Description:
This Request for Proposals (the "RFP") is an invitation by the University of Ottawa (the "University") to prospective proponents to submit proposals for an Atmospheric Photoemission Spectrometer (APS), funded by the Canada Foundation for Innovation and the Ontario Research Fund.The requested equipment will be integrated into a multi-user laboratory environment and is intended to advance cutting-edge research in materials science, surface chemistry, and device physics. The APS system will enable the investigation of electronic structures under ambient and near-ambient pressure conditions, supporting both fundamental studies and application-driven research. Its deployment is strategically aligned with the mission and research priorities of the HIIT initiative (Hybrid and Intelligent Interfaces for Technology), enabling breakthroughs at the interface of advanced materials and functional device development.The proposed atmospheric photoemission spectrometer enables ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy at ambient pressure conditions.
