Description : The Municipality is planning for the construction of a new Community Health Centre (CHC) which, at this time, includes a main lobby area, shared front desk, meeting spaces, 3 physician suites and 3 nurse practitioner suites along with 6 linked teaching pods for residents and medical students, 2 shared procedure rooms, office space for provincial health services, a space for blood collection and site work. The Community Health Centre is expected to have a made in Barrington look and feel. Other objectives are to have a functional, modern community health centre that reflects the nature of the Municipality to meet the present and future needs of residents in accordance with approved project schedule and approved project budget, in a transparent process, using quality design and construction methods, to create a community hub with safe and accessible spaces. Details of the Community Health Centre-s conceptual design can be found in document 3 of Appendix A, while documents 1 and 2 provide an overview of the site plan and potential exterior design. The Class “D” budget estimate is $8,987,663.63. Note: This is the total budget including taxes, consulting, permits, and other soft costs.
