Applications for Durham Region Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network (OVIN) Community Challenge: Enabling Intelligent Transit Stops

The Region of Durham and Durham Region Transit (DRT) are launching a challenge to innovators and businesses under the theme of Connected and Smart Mobility.
Outlined in The Route Ahead, Service Strategy 2022-2025, DRT is growing ridership through the delivery of efficient and effective mobility solutions. We provide excellent service and it is important that we continue to enhance our customer experience, beginning at the transit stop.
We challenge the business community to provide a detection and communication system for transit stops that enables DRT to understand passenger behaviour at transit stops and improve overall customer experience. Successful challenge participants will be able to pilot solutions at key transit stops throughout the network.
