CONSTRUCTION OF NEW BUILDING ME46CFB KINGSTON, ON(with Security Requirements)Purpose of this Advance Procurement NoticeThis is not a bid solicitation nor a request for proposals.This is an advance notice for a potential contract with anticipated security requirements to provide interested contractors an opportunity to begin the sponsorship process for obtaining (if required) the anticipated security clearance(s). Note that there is no guarantee that this solicitation will proceed or that any security clearance(s) will be granted under the sponsorship process in a timely fashion or otherwise.Description of the Project and ServicesThis project involves the construction of a multi-purpose facility located in Kingston Ontario. The two-story building will have an area footprint of approximately 8,350 m2 and will feature office space, vehicle maintenance bays, training classrooms and storage areas to enhance training and mission planning for the 21 Electronic Warfare Regiment (21 EW Regt). The facility will be built to meet the Canada Green Building Council's Zero Carbon Building Performance-Standard. In addition to high-efficiency heating and cooling systems, the facility will also feature on-site solar power generation to offset the building's electrical demand.A General Contractor is required to construct the facility from a complete set of drawings and specifications.
