- Local Authority Services (LAS) is the business services arm of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) and is mandated to provide competitively priced and sustainable co-operative business services to Ontario-s municipalities and the broader public sector. LAS is posting the solicitation on behalf of LAS and its current and potential members, which includes 444 municipal governments and their agencies, boards and commissions, represented associations and their members, and may include other broader public sector organizations located in the Province of Ontario. Municipalities across Ontario are committed to building inclusive, barrier-free communities and meeting their obligations under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA). Municipalities have identified a need for enhanced resources to meet these obligations, particularly in areas such as digital accessibility, accessible public infrastructure, training, and communication supports. In response, LAS is building a comprehensive Accessible Services Toolkit to help municipalities meet their compliance responsibilities and promote inclusive, accessible communities.
LAS is requesting proposals for its AODA Accessible Services Toolkit (RFP 2025-002) to result in a province-wide contract solution under the rules and regulations of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement ("CFTA") for this procurement. Successful vendors will sign a Master Partnership Agreement with LAS and will contract directly with eligible Ontario Organizations who wish to take advantage of a vendor-s specific Deliverable(s).
