Tender are invited for STATEMENT OF WORK OR REQUIREMENTNRC ACRD has a requirement for the supply of an anaerobic chamber, which must meet all ofthe mandatory technical requirements as specified below. The requirement must include all of thefollowing:The requirement is for one anaerobic chamber workstation to support the manipulation ofmicrobes in a controlled environment - specifically for an oxygen-free environment wheresamples can be handled directly by hand, without gloves. The workstation needs to have an enclosed environment for the manipulation of culturesusing 2 arms The workstation needs to include a purpose-built stand, so the user can sit in front of it The chamber must have a gloveless sleeve design, so arms reach into the chamber witha seal around the user-s arms The chamber in the workstation needs to be capable of reaching 10 ppm of oxygen orlower (“anaerobic”) when sitting undisturbed There is a requirement that the chamber remains anaerobic while accompanying gascylinders are changed There is a requirement for an integrated vacuum pump for evacuating the air inside thechamber, to replace it with inert gas There is a requirement for an audible and visual alarm for low gas supply There is a requirement for the chamber to accommodate 600 standard-sized petri platesfor incubation The chamber size needs to be at minimum 16 cubic feet There needs to be a clear/transparent window so the user can inspect the samples The chamber needs to have temperature con...
