Description:
The Primary Objective is to determine the most viable means to air condition thirty-seven (37) different school buildings with older mechanical systems.
This RFQ is a follow up to RFQ 24-118 which didn-t yield any submissions.
Please note the scope is the same with the following changes/clarifications:
Proponents are not required to visit every site. Site drawings are included to provide the necessary information.The deliverable is a high-level report for use by the UCDSB to plan & prioritize future deployment of air conditioning at these sites. The report will outline viable solutions for cooling each site with a Class D estimate. For example, School A currently has no mechanical ventilation - recommendation is to install roof top units in common spaces and unit ventilators in classrooms to provide cooling. Class D Estimate for mechanical and electrical construction is $255,000 (+/- 25%)Detailed structural analysis and costing are not included in this scope of work. Lump sum estimates may be used for Class D Estimating.Third party Quantity Surveyor estimates are not required.The final due date for the reports will be March 14, 2025 (original was February 28, 2025).
