Description : In 2015, The City awarded a contract (15-1655) to the highest rated proponent, Agilent Technologies Canada Inc, to provide The City with a Inductively Couple Plasma Mawss Spectrometer (ICP-MS/MS) System. The contracted included one (1) year warranty and five (5) year service plan which will be expiring by the end of 2021. This instrument is used to identify and quantify the metal concentrations present in samples from The City-s distribution system, Waste Water Treatment Plants, Storm and watershed which are analyzed by The City-s Water Quality Services (WQS) Lab Instrumentation department. Many of the parameters which are analyzed by this instrument are regulated, and therefore any interruption of the service would impact WQS services Agilent Technologies Canada Inc will provide service and repair as part of extended warranty of the Agilent ICP-MS/MS instrument. This instrument is currently being used by WQS. Complaint samples are also analyzed by ICP-MS/MS and a certain turnaround time is expected to make sure the customer service expectations are met.
