- Description:
- The Ministry of Health (Ministry) is seeking proposals from qualified Proponents to provide Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) and Critical Care Paramedic (CCP) consulting services to support the Emergency Medical Assistants Licensing Board (Board). The Contractor would be responsible for: reviewing out of province licence applications for ACPs and CCPs; program submission reviews for those licence categories; clinical consultations for alternate dispute resolutions related to patient care complaints, i.e. discuss the Emergency Medical Assistant-s (EMA) conduct/decisions that led to a complaint against the EMA; participating in the Canadian Organization of Paramedic Regulators (COPR) pan-Canadian CCP framework development which will lead to a CCP entry to practice standards examination that is equivalent across Canada; and, developing ACP/CCP examination content for the British Columbia provincial examinations. The anticipated term of the Contract(s) is expected to be from April 1, 2026, until March 31, 2030, with the option, at the sole discretion of the Ministry, to extend for an additional 1 - two year term. A maximum of 5 ACP and 5 CCP contracts may be awarded as a result of this RFP. Further details as to the scope of this opportunity and the requirements can be found within this RFP.
