Description : Background and Purpose McMaster University is planning to add an Acoustic Intensity Suite, and a Modal Analysis and Vibration Suite to be located at McMaster Automotive Resource Centre (MARC). McMaster University invites qualified bidders to submit responses for the supply of an Acoustic Intensity Suite, and a Modal Analysis and Vibration Suite in accordance with the terms of this Request for Proposals. These suites will consist of hardware and software to conduct acoustic noise and vibration measurements on electric motors. The Acoustic Intensity Suite and the Modal Analysis and Vibration Suite will create a unique academic facility that would enable research into low-cost, high-efficiency, and low-noise electric motor drives with a more stable supply chain security. The proposed infrastructure will enable characterization of the acoustic noise and vibration behavior of electric motor drives and validation of the technologies developed to reduce it. Bidders must quote the entire bid. Partial bids will not be accepted.
