Description : SFU needs to purchase WearTech Labs (WTL) is in need of a highly advanced 3D printer that is capable of printing materials in many different colors and composites with the additional capability to print directly on fabrics, garments, athletic gear, and new innovative devices. It is SFU-s intention to award a contract to Javelin, a Trimech Company to purchase Prime Fabrix 3D Printer with Prime Full Colour 3D printer and Stratasys 3DFashion upgrade kit. The unique Polyjet printer will allow us to rapidly prototype designs for both research and our contract partners. Allowing for wearable sensors to be placed into the design and iterated more quickly. This technology will allow us to have a unique technological capability not only at SFU but in Western Canada.
