Detailed_Description : Public Health Ontario (PHO) believes that the following procurement qualifies as a sole source or single source procurement. The purpose of this Advanced Contract Award Notice (ACAN) is to determine if there are other suppliers capable of meeting the requirements of the procurement for the following supplies for PHO.Vendor - Life TechnologiesProducts - See attached ACAN listingPurpose - Reagents and Consumables for Covid TestingPHO performs diagnostic testing, screening and surveillance on current and emerging pathogens for the province of Ontario. Life Technologies provides reagents and consumables to be used with molecular instrumentation in qualitative end-point PCR, quantitative real time PCR, sanger sequencing as well as next generation sequencing. The PHO laboratories are leveraging these reagents and consumables with their laboratory developed tests.PHO believes that there is only one supplier capable of providing all the required goods in the Canadian Market currently adaptable to our laboratory developed test.PHO intends to award a 1-year term contract to Life Technologies for the products described in the ACAN attachment.This request does not constitute a call for tenders.
