Advance Contract Award Notice:
An ACAN is a public notice indicating to the supplier community that a department or agency intends to award a contract for goods, services or construction to a pre-identified supplier, thereby allowing other suppliers to signal their interest in bidding, by submitting a statement of capabilities. If no supplier submits a statement of capabilities that meets the requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the closing date stated in the ACAN, the contracting officer may then proceed with the award to the pre-identified supplier.
1.BACKGROUND:
TC ASD is responsible for the provision of aviation services in support of TC operations as well as those of other federal departments and agencies. ASD-s Technical Services Branch provides maintenance services on several types of fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft. Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance services are regularly required on the ASD and clients- fleets of aircraft across Canada. The maintenance services are required to ensure continuous safe operation in support of ASD-s mandate.
2.DEFINITION OF REQUIREMENTS:
ASD has a requirement for inspection and maintenance services performed by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or an OEM authorized repair facility to return one (1) Pratt & Whitney PW207D engine S/N PCE-BLL0524 and its components and LRU components, to serviceability.
