Description:
SFU has a requirement for a deep ocean acoustics positioning equipment; at 3km water depth consisting of battery powered autonomous units and one cabled interrogator.It is SFU's intention to award a contract for this source to Sonardyne Inc.This purchase is funded by Canada Foundation for Innovation(CFI) and the BC provincial government. As of the issuing date of this ACAN an application for the funds has been approved. All purchases pertaining to this research project are subject to availability of funds associated with this project.An ACAN is a public notice indicating to the supplier communitythat SFU intends to award a contract for goods, services, or construction to a pre-identified supplier, thereby allowing other suppliers to signal their interest in bidding, by submitting a statement of capabilities. If no supplier submits a Statement of Capabilities that meets the requirements setout in the ACAN, on or before the submission deadline stated in the ACAN, SFU may then proceed with the award to the pre-identified supplier. If other potential suppliers submit Statements of Capabilities during the posting period, and meet the requirements set out in this ACAN, SFU may proceed to aRequest for Proposal process.
