- The purpose of this Advance Contract Award Notice (ACAN) is to signal the University-s intention to award a contract for Art Commissioning and Provenance Research Services to the following pre-selected supplier:Asad RazaBackgroundFollowing the adaption of the 'UofT Anti-Black Racism Task Force Final Report' and the 'U of T Calls to Action - Truth and Reconciliation Commission', the University of Toronto Mississauga is committed to adapt its existing, ongoing campus public art initiatives to the recommendations of these reports. It is also committed to commissioning new works of public art on campus, in line with the recommendations. The process for commissioning these existing and new works also need to be harmonised with the newly developed Art in Public Spaces and Collections Policy of the University of Toronto.Process of Submitting a Statement of CapabilitiesSuppliers who consider their services compliant and available may submit a statement of capabilities in writing, to the University contact person identified in this Notice on or before the closing date of this Notice. The statement of capabilities must unequivocally demonstrate how the supplier meets these advertised requirements. The supplier-s Statement of Capabilities will be evaluated on a pass or fail basis based on their ability to meet the minimum requirements outlined in the notice.
