- The City of Moncton is seeking Proposals from qualified vendors to supply, configure, and support (including through installation and commissioning) an Above-Ground Traffic Detection System utilizing video, radar, LiDAR technology, or equivalent, either solely or in combination. (Note that redundant video detection or monitoring is not required but may be viewed as a value-added feature in the RFP evaluation.) These systems will replace in-pavement loop detectors and support new signal installations, ensuring improved detection capability, safety for pedestrians and cyclists, and centralized data collection. Award under this RFP may result in a multi-year preferred supplier agreement at the City-s sole discretion.
