Tender are invited for 5500 QTRAP Mass Spectrometer
Project Description : The Metabolomics Innovation Centre develops novel kits and devices, and other translational tools for metabolomics research. Currently, a 5500 QTRAP Mass Spectrometer is being fully used seven (7) days a week for metabolomics technology development and service projects and with the growing rate of these projects, there is an urgent need for an additional unit.To avoid lengthy redevelopment of the department-s techniques for a different platform, where typically dozens of adjustments have to be made to deal with differences in instrument sensitivity, instrument performance, SRM transition selections, collision energies, and elution times. The calibration standards in the assay would have to be re-weighed and re-run and validated all over again therefore consistency is crucial. The QTRAP 5500 Mass Spectrometer is critical for the center-s operations to meet milestones and objectives set out by the funding partners.AB Sciex LP is the only supplier able to meet the technical requirements of the department.
