- This Request for Proposals (the "RFP") is an invitation by the University of Ottawa (the "University") to prospective proponents to submit proposals for 43034-2a- Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing open platform with powder and substrate in-situ preconditioner as further described in Appendix D (RFP Particulars) Section A (the "Deliverables").The successful proponent shall design, manufacture and deliver a high-pressure Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing system.The successful proponent shall design, manufacture and deliver a high-pressure Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing system being "Goods". The high-pressure Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing system being requested is a key asset for enabling advanced material deposition, precision component repair, and near-net shape additive manufacturing. The system should be designed to include a high-pressure, high-temperature Cold Spray gun with powder preconditionning, a high-pressure powder feeder, a 6-axis robotic arm, and a control system with an integrated programmable logic controller (PLC). It will be installed within an acoustic enclosure (that has to be included) and feature a multi-angle camera system for enhanced process visibility and quality assurance. Compared to the current equipment in the lab, this system significantly expands material compatibility and processing capability.
