Detailed_Description : RFI for the market information of a comprehensive 3D highway design software suite as the infrastructure engineering digital solution for the Ministry of Transportation to support the current ministry mandates and the future initiative to adopt Building Information Modelling (BIM).
Scope of Work : The Standards & Contracts Branch (SCB) of the Ministry of Transportation is seeking a comprehensive 3D highway engineering design digital solution to model and integrate various highway design components into a project for contract delivery by March 31, 2028. The SCB provides technical leadership and oversight, stakeholder management, innovative ideas, best practices, program delivery, and sets provincial policy, standards and specifications for the Transportation Infrastructure Management Division (TIMD). Within the SCB, the Highway Design Office provides technical leadership in engineering software applications, ensuring updates and processes align with the Ministry-s mandate, goals, priorities, and business needs.The current solution has been customized to reflect MTO-s organizational standards. The customizations enable faster project delivery, improved quality, and maintain OPS standards by modifying workspace configuration, workflows, design, and the drawing production process, and specific MTO feature categories and requirements.
