Description:
The City of Calgary (hereafter referred to as "The City") invites qualified and experienced consulting firms to submit proposals for participation in the Material Compliance Program. This program is designed to monitor and ensure the quality of materials—including asphalt, concrete, soil, and otherengineering and non-engineering materials—used in road construction, pavement rehabilitation, and sidewalk improvements within The City's jurisdiction. The program encompasses capital projects, special initiatives, new subdivision developments, and any other construction activities under The City'scontrol, where The City is the ultimate owner of the infrastructure. The program will be overseen on a day-to-day basis by The City's Mobility Division. Specifically, the Pavement and Materials Engineering Section will coordinate with the daily dispatch schedule, maintain communication with consultants,and oversee the monitoring of testing results and inspection findings. The objective of the program is to ensure rigorous quality assurance for both materials and workmanship across all relevant City projects. The City intends to award the contract to two (2) qualified consulting firms to effectivelymanage and implement the program.
