Description:
The City uses a road weather information system (“RWIS”) to capture and generate information on weather and road surface conditions with the systems located throughout the city to represent five (5) microclimates. The City deployed its first RWIS over 20 years ago. The City has established a partnership with Alberta Transportation through The City of Calgary-s Open Data initiative. A Notice of Intent dated January 10, 2019 was issued with a deadline of January 24, 2024 to inform the market about the contract to implement, operate, and maintain the RWIS system with an estimated budget of $320,000 for 8 years (to 2030). Notice is hereby given by The City of its intent to extend its contract with WSP E&I Canada Ltd. for service on the implementation, operation and maintenance of RWIS, which is integrated with Alberta Transportation-s RWIS network, specifically the 511 Alberta to September 30, 2030 with a revised estimated budget of $500,000.
