- The City of Delta is soliciting proposals from engineering consulting companies with relevant knowledge and experience to design a gravity irrigation intake from Fraser River near 96 Street and River Road. The scope of work also includes preparing a long-term strategy to improve the supply of irrigation water from the Fraser River to Delta-s irrigation system in order to enhance agricultural productivity. This project is partially funded by the BC Ministry of Agriculture through the Investment Agriculture Foundation-s Food Security Emergency Planning & Preparedness (FSPP) Fund.
A Proponents meeting has been scheduled for 2:00pm on January 10, 2024 at 9570 River Road, Delta, BC (Gravelridge Pump Station). Please ensure you park safely as this is a busy road. Attendance at the Proponents- meeting is not mandatory but we would appreciate a confirmation email to the contact person if you plan to attend.
