This RFP is open to fully pre-qualified firms only. Proponents are invited who have been pre-qualified based on specific information previously submitted through The City-s Prequalification for Engineering and Architectural Consultants RFPQ 06-006. Proposals will only be considered from proponents that have achieved a pre-qualified status in the following discipline(s): Bridges - Maintenance and Rehabilitation.To view the list of pre-qualified firms, visit www.calgary.ca/prequalification and select “engineering and architectural services.”Based on the City of Calgary-s most recent Ontario Structure Inspection Manual (OSIM) bridge inspection, the 9th Avenue over 8th Street SW bridge has been prioritzed for rehabilitation. The City of Calgary is seeking to engage one (1) pre-qualified engineering firm to provide investigation, preliminary engineering, detailed design, construction administration, and project close out services for the rehabilitation of the 9th Avenue SW bridge over 8th Street.The rehabilitation scope is anticipated to include repair of superstructure elements, joints, substructure elements, sidewalks and stairs, barriers, lighting upgrades and replacement of the asphalt traffic surface. This procurement process is not intended to create, and, will not create, a formal, legally binding bidding process. It will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations.
