- D3. SCOPE OF WORKD3.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of the renewal of water mains on Aikins Street, Jarvis Avenue, Charles Street, and Austin Street, all within the City of Winnipeg.D3.2 The major components of the Work are as follows:(a) Installation of approximately 880m of150mm-300mm diameter PVC water main pipe by trenchless method;(b) Abandonment of existing water mains as required;(c) Removal/abandonment of existing hydrant assemblies and gate valves as required;(d) Installation of valves and hydrant assemblies;(e) Reconnection or renewal of water service connections;and(f) Restoration of pavement and boulevard areas.D3.3 The following shall apply to the Work:(a) Universal DesignPolicyhttp://clkapps.winnipeg.ca/DMIS/DocExt/ViewDoc.asp?DocumentTypeId=2&DocId=3604
