- This tender is to solicit qualified vendors to supply, crush, load, haul and apply 20,000 metric tonnes of maintenance gravel for Spring 2025 delivery on Township of Howick roads. Bids will be received online through the Township of Howick Bids and Tenders website (https://howick.bidsandtenders.ca) until 12:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, February 27, 2025.
Aggregates shall meet the requirements of the OPSS 1010, being the material specification for Aggregates - Granular A, B, M and select sub grade material. The Township of Howick reserves the right to sample and test the aggregate at the Contractor-s expense. Aggregate not meeting the specification will be rejected and the Contractor shall not receive compensation for that material or placement. The Contractor will pay for sampling of the gravel to meet the requirements of OPSS 1010. Any re-testing at that pit or an alternate pit will also be an expense to the Contractor.
The granular materials shall be spread in a uniform layer over the road as directed by the Township of Howick. Only hopper delivery trucks will be accepted for delivery on the roadway.
The Contractor shall deliver a minimum of 2,500 metric tonnes per day. - Documents:
