- The AESO is seeking a service provider to conduct a Western Electricity Coordinating Council (“WECC”) style mock audit of the AESO-s compliance with a subset of certain Operations & Planning Alberta Reliability Standards. The WECC will be conducting a compliance audit of the AESO on behalf of the Alberta Market Surveillance Administrator in September 2025. The mock audit services will be used to prepare the AESO for the upcoming WECC audit. The mock audit services include, but may not be limited to: (a) conducting an offsite review of the AESO-s opening presentation, in-scope ARS auditor worksheets, and other initial evidence provided by the AESO; (b) sampling and conducting an offsite review of any additional evidence provided by the AESO; (c) conducting remote and onsite interviews with subject matter experts to provide real-time feedback and coaching; (d) attending an onsite tour of AESO facilities, if applicable; (e) during the mock audit, holding daily debriefs with the AESO, which may include presenting a summary of the outcomes; (f) presenting the mock audit findings to the AESO; and (g) preparing and delivering the draft and final mock audit reports to the AESO.
