- BackgroundThe Conservation Halton Foundation is a partner organization to Conservation Halton (CH). Our work includes building awareness and raising funds for environmental projects and programs in the Halton watershed. This work benefits the residents of Mississauga, Oakville, Milton, Burlington, Puslinch, Halton Hills and the surrounding areas. We work to improve natural areas by planting trees and shrubs to provide habitat and stabilize creekbanks. Our stewardship efforts aim to protect and restore environmentally significant natural areas and watercourses. Additionally, we support environmental education and hands-on learning programs like the Halton Children-s Water Festival, the Crawford Lake Village, and the Mountsberg Raptor Centre.
The Conservation Halton Foundation-s annual gala is the organization-s signature fundraiser. Each year, it introduces a unique theme to spotlight Conservation Halton-s parks and the organization-s priorities in conservation, outdoor recreation, and education. It brings together over 300 guests from government, corporate and community leaders and partners.2024 will be our sixth annual gala raising funds for projects and initiatives that increase access to nature.
