Description : The University of Ottawa is pleased to invite qualified proponents to submit a proposal for a 3D bioprinting system that will support undergraduate teaching and graduate research activities in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Ottawa. These activities include: Printing cell-encapsulating materials using a range of printing technologies (inkjet, thermoplastic, pneumatic extrusion) Printing a range of materials with different cross-linking/gelation mechanisms (temperature-based cross-linking, photocuring, ionic cross-linking such as via FRESH approach) Co-axial printing of core-shell and vessel type structures Printing on a range of surfaces including cell culture plates and dishes, custom-made receptacles and non-planar surfaces Printing of complex structures with 5 or more bioinks simultaneously and with independent control of printing parameters for each bioink Printing in a sterile environment without relying on the use of a biosafety cabinet
