The Lake Chad Region Recovery and Development Project (PROLAC-TCHAD) has marked an important milestone in its mission to restore stability and foster socio-economic development in the Lake Chad Basin. The project, funded by IDA-D6340, has announced the award of consultancy contracts for the final evaluation of its recovery and development initiatives.

The contract was awarded to GMC GROUP SARL from Canada, with a strong technical score of 82.17 and a combined evaluation score of 87.52. This consultancy will conduct a detailed assessment of PROLAC-TCHAD’s outcomes, ensuring that the project’s impact is properly measured and documented.
Other participating firms include COSINUS CONSEILS from Benin and SOCIETE DE DEVELOPPEMENT INTERNATIONAL (SDI) INC from Canada. This collaboration of international and regional expertise underlines the project’s commitment to quality, transparency, and effective knowledge transfer.
Fast-Track Evaluation
The evaluation contract is set for completion within 21 days, emphasising the project’s focus on timely and actionable insights. By engaging highly qualified consultants, PROLAC-TCHAD aims to identify lessons learnt, improve implementation strategies, and maximise benefits for communities affected by conflict, displacement, and environmental challenges.
